Brushes: #2 Flat Sable These brushes are fairly expensive, as you may have
#4 Flat Sable experienced. I have discovered that the synthetic
#8 Flat Sable blend brushes seem to work the best and are the
most affordable.
#1 Long Bristle Synthetic Script Line (also known as a "signature brush")
#6 Filbert
#6 Flat Bristle
#10 Flat Bristle
Palette: Use whatever is comfortable for you. You may want to purchase a plastic palette seal
to preserve your oil colors in an airtight environment.
Canvas: 9" x 12" or larger. Either pre-stretched canvases or canvas panels.
Painting Medium: Small jar of "Liquin" (Winsor Newton brand)
Paper Towels: Viva paper towels or soft rags.
Painting Apron: Can be found at craft stores such as Hobby Lobby or Michael's
Brush Cleaner: Odorless mineral spirits. A quart jar with a plastic scouring pad placed in the bottom and
filled with odorless mineral spirits makes a great brush-cleaning tool.
Easels and Taborets will be provided.
